Carey L. Koele

Co-owner / LPL Financial Advisor

Carey started working as an investment consultant in 1993 and founded Koele Godfrey Investment Group in 2003. He served on the regional training team as a mentor and as an advanced training coordinator. Since 2003, he has held and maintained numerous industry licenses through LPL Financial, including life, health, disability, and insurance licenses. Carey specializes in women’s finance, family meetings, and small business planning. The client’s best interest is always his primary goal.

Carey is a graduate of Northwestern College, with bachelor of arts degrees in both business economics and behavior science. He has completed the Harvard School of Business Competitive Strategies course and has earned Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from the College for Financial Planning. He earned AAMS designation following a one-year specialized course focused on identifying opportunities for clients in the areas of investment, tax, retirement, and estate planning. AAMS designation also requires comprehensive exams and the signing of a code of ethics commitment and declaration. He also completes continuing education requirements to ensure that he stays up to date in his field.

An active member and deacon with Faith Reformed Church, Carey lives in Holland, Michigan, with his wife Kim. Along with Kim and their two sons, Christian and Evan, Carey enjoys traveling, attending the boys’ sports events, and outdoor activities. He has been an active member of the Zeeland/Holland community for more than 30 years and has served on boards of directors for various local organizations. He is a member of the West Coast Chamber of Commerce.
