Jack Godfrey

A financial professional since 1997, Jack has a background in banking, information technology, insurance, and manufacturing. He also has more than 20 years’ direct experience as a financial advisor and is co-owner of Koele Godfrey Investment Group.

Jack earned a bachelor of arts degree in business economics from Albion College and attended the Australian Graduate School of Management on a Rotary Fellowship. He also worked at the Perrigo Corporation for 13 years, where he was a private equity holder. Jack stays up to date in his industry through a program of continuing education. The securities registrations he holds through LPL Financial include Series 63. 7, and 65. He has also earned Life, Health, Disability, and Variable Life Insurance licenses.

Jack’s varied background allows him to offer clients personalized services that include family investment, college, tax, and inheritance planning, Social Security optimization, charitable giving, and insurance needs including long-term care, life insurance and life insurance termination. At Koele Godfrey, he specializes in retirement income planning and family legacy planning. Every client receives a customized approach to discovery, purpose, implementation, and monitoring of investments.

A native of Allegan, Jack still lives on his family’s homestead, which he has shared with his wife, Maureen, since 1975. They have five children: Monica, Jessica, Benjamin, Jared, and Emma. Jack and Maureen enjoy watching their seven grandchildren’s sports events. Jack’s hobbies include traveling, golfing, and teaching investment strategies. He is a Rotary member and a member of the Grand Rapids Economic Club and a past member of the Jenison Public School Foundation, the Jenison Chamber of Commerce, and Ambucs.
